The Association of Visual Arts Vienna Secession, with Gustav Klimt as it’s most famous member, was founded in 1897. The Secession is it’s oldest, independent exhibition house, specifically dedicated to contemporary art.
In December 2014 the project Beacons4Culture was able to welcome the Secession as it’s first partner.
After the successful test of the Kulturapp it was integrated into the new Oroundo App in June. With this tool we now can offer our partner an easy to handle beacon solution. Visitors just need to download the App (for Android and iOs).
The Secession presently is using 12 Estimote Beacons (indoors and outdoors). Visitors receive via audio, text and photographs information about the building’s history, it’s architecture as well as temporary exhibitions.
